Ronald Boyd Whipple was born on April 11, 1931 in St. George, Utah. He passed away on February 14, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has resided in the Las Vegas Valley for the past 54 years. Ron passed away suddenly after a 4 year battle with melanoma. Ron was best remembered as a man who loved his family and his Heavenly Father. He is survived by his sweetheart of 59 years, Nona Budge Whipple; Children: Lee Whipple, Lori Kelly, Robert Whipple, and Annette Thaler; Grandchildren: Kevin Whipple, Kenny Whipple, Michelle Smothers, Derrick Utley, Jaclyn Kidd, John Whipple, Allen Whipple, Eric Whipple, Alison Lambert, Michael Brandon Thaler, Madison Thaler and 12 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Reuben Whipple and Fay Chadburn of Logandale NV. Ron was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and faithfully served in various capacities in the Church throughout his life. His life of love and service was a testament of his Dedication to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to his family. He was a kind man who never spoke ill of another human being. He is well loved and will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1991 West Washburn Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89031, on Tuesday February 17, 2015. The Viewing will start at 10:00 a.m., and the Funeral Services, held in the Chapel, will follow at 11:00 a.m.
