Della Mae Steele was born on February 2, 1944 in Tenessee. She went to be with her LORD on February 17, 2015 in Round Rock, Texas, at the age of 71 years and 15 days. She was the daughter of William Roy Poarch and Sally Louise (Bowen) Poarch. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother, Roy Amos Poarch and her sister, Alice Louise Thackerson.
Della is survived by her son, Michael Jack Steele of Grand Canyon, Arizona. Sisters, Joyce Allen of Granbury, Texas and Pauline Facemyer of The Colony, Texas. Two granddaughters and a multitude of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church in Round Rock, Texas, and was involved in the Prison Church Ministry for over 27 years. She worked in the customer service department of CPL Lab Services in Austin, Texas. Della was loved by many.
