Ralph G. Caldwell, Jr., 89, of Jensen Beach, FL passed away Thursday afternoon at his home.

Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Ralph G. and Effie (Swartz) Caldwell, Sr. He spent the past 24 years in Jensen Beach after moving from Sugarloaf, PA where he had lived for four years and Trenton, NJ.

He was the retired President of Caldwell Supply Co. which he operated in Trenton, NJ from 1947-1985. In 1985 he was instrumental in relocating the company to Hazleton, PA and continued as President until his retirement in 1988.

Ralph was a US Army Veteran of WWII, having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of West Trenton Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of the Masonic lodge; Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg; and Hazleton Elks. Ralph enjoyed playing golf and tennis and was very meticulous in the maintenance of the grounds around his home.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife the former Gloria Holmes, who passed away in May 2003; a daughter Sharon Graham, February 2012; and brothers James and Thomas; and a sister Frances.

Surviving are two sons Ralph G. III and his wife Marion, Drums; and David and his wife Maria, Mountaintop; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. The Rev. Debra Hebden will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Conyngham Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening 7-9 pm.

Ralph Caldwell, 89, died April 19, 2012, at his home. He was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Florida for 23 years, coming from Pennsylvania.

Before retirement, he was the co-owner of Caldwell Wholesale Supply Co. now located in Hazelton, PA. He served during World War II in the Army. He was a member of the BPOE Elks and The Scottish Right.
