Spencer L. Tilley, 57 years 1 month and 3 days of age, of Science Hill, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, April 15th, 1990 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky following a long illness.
Spencer was born in Casey County, Kentucky on March 12th, 1933, son of Rayborn Tilley and the late Goldie Smith Tilley. Spencer was a used car dealer, a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Science Hill.
Spencer was survived by his father, Rayborn Tilley; his loving wife of 36 years, Patsy Ann "Pat" Cassada Tilley, whom he married on July 11th, 1953; three sons, James Lee "Jimmy" Tilley, David Tilley, and Allen Tilley; two daughters, Becky Hardgrove and Barbara Chumbley; seven grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Goldie Smith Tilley; one daughter, Lisa Jane Tilley; and two brothers, James A. Tilley and Ivan Tilley.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17th, 1990 at the Morris and Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18th, 1990 in the Chapel of the Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Eld. Morris Gaskin and Pat Lawson officiating.
Burial followed in the Science Hill Cemetery in Science Hill, Kentucky.
