Born Aug. 19, 1937, in Nashville, he was the son of the late John Spurlock and Rena Stewart Spurlock.
He was a graduate of Cookeville High School, a member of the church of Christ and retired avid follower of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting activities.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Juanita Judd Spurlock; three children, Rhonda Garner, Renee (Donnie) Stover and Tim (Mary) Spurlock; one brother, Ray (Evaline) Spurlock; one sister, Brenda (Bob) Rich; mother-in-law, Nola Gentry Judd; five grandchildren, Kyle (Stacy) Stover, Kory (Brittany) Stover, Kody Stover, Micah (Jake) Hunter and Andy Spurlock; and six great grandchildren, Gavin, Emma, Owen and Mason Stover, Finn and Vivian Hunter.
Visitation for Mr. Spurlock will be Friday, Feb. 20, from 10 a.m. until noon at Crest Lawn Funeral Home in Cookeville.
Graveside services will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery at noon on Friday with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating.
