Alice Tolliver, 77, of Springfield, born September 9, 1925, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away Sunday, September 5, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer. Alice graduated from Springfield Senior High and attended State Teacher College. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association, Hickory Hills Country Club and Golden Girls Investment Club. Alice and her husband Leo Tolliver established Gold Crown Food Company, a family business, carried on by their son and daughter. Alice was a member of Kings Way United Methodist Church. She enjoyed travel and playing golf and bridge. She was an extraordinary person whose trademark was a beautiful smile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Tolliver; her parents, Curtice and Gertrude Williams; sisters, Mary Gertrude Williams, Jean Wagemann, Irene Wilkerson, Martha Myers and brother, Jim Williams. Surviving are her son, Steve Tolliver and wife Debbie; daughter, Lorriane Bradley and husband Terry; grandchildren, Eric, Matt, Jessica and Katy; three stepgrandchildren, Josh, Amber and Kimberly; step-greatgrandchild, Ashtyn; sisters Doris Williams, Kathryn Netzer and husband Roland; brothers, Edgar Williams, John Williams and wife Charlene, Curtice Williams and wife Cathy, Fred Williams and wife Clair, and Jerry Williams and wife Roberta; and many nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2003, in Kings Way United Methodist Church, with Dennis Miller, Associate Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
