ODESSA - Annie Lee "Ann" Hughes, 81, went to be with her Lord Jesus Saturday, February 14th, 2015 (Valentine's Day) peacefully in her sleep.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lee "Frank" Hughes.
Ann was born March 16th, 1933. She was one of thirteen children born to Gracie and John Everett in Seminole Texas.
She is survived by her sister JoLean Adams of Amarillo, two sons, Ronald Lee Hughes and his wife Rexana Hughes and Gary Ray Hughes, eight grandchildren, Heather Spuill, Shannon Blau, Barbie Longwell, Bess Aine Kelley, Adrian Blue, Candice, John, and Allison Hughes, eleven great-grandchildren, Ashley Uhlhorn, Krystal and Bethany Spuill, Kinslea and Morgan Blau, Bryson and Brylee Kelley, Caleb, Cade, Rhett Longwell and one on the way.
Ann had many jobs over the years, telephone operator, apartment manager, Levis Strauss, 7-11, Hotel desk clerk, and she ran the South Sue grocery store in Crane, Texas for many years."Grandma" had the gift of hospitality her door was always open to friends & family and there was never a need to knock. Ann was member at Belmont Baptist Church.
