Freddie Turner Jr. , 69, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, February 13, 2015.

He was born in Madison, Florida to the late Freddie and Erie [Rowe] Turner, and has lived here in Lake City for over 60 years.

He was a caring father, grandfather and great grandfather who devoted his life to his family and to the service of his Savior. He was dedicated to his work and was a staff member of First Baptist Church of Lake City for 27 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Sammie Lee Turner, Eugene Rowe, and Barney Turner; his sisters, Evelyn Coley and Mary Lee Turner.

Survivors are his 2 sons, Thomas L. Turner of Lake City, FL and Eric Turner of Live Oak, FL; daughters, Patricia Turner, Frankie Jean Turner, and Freddie Lee Turner all of Lake City, FL; brothers, Raymond (Lorraine) Turner Sr. of Lake City, FL, John (Loretta) Turner of Mitchville, MA, Sandy Turner, Calvin Turner, Joe (Mary) Rowe, Edward (Sandra) Rowe, James (Debra) Turner and Tommie Lee Turner all of Madison, FL; sister, Carol Ann Turner of Madison, FL. 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Lake City with Pastor Robert Bass officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Rest Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
