Christiana was a daughter of Johann Philipp and Catherine () Wisman. There is some question whether the family name was spelled "Wisman" or "Wiseman", but the consensus of the records suggest that "Wisman" was an Americanized version of the original German "Wißmann". There is also some question whether her given name was Christiana, Christina, Anna Christena... My reading of her late husband's will (John Peter Mauck) indicated she was referenced as "... my beloved wife Christiana." However, Wolph's transcription (1980) indicates she was listed as "Christena."

She married Thomas Wiseman (b. 1748), possibly a cousin, who died in Dec 1796 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Thomas and Christena had 12 children: Magdalen who married Jacob David 9-19-1791; John, born March 17, 1773, who married Elizabeth Sibert 12-12-1795; Jacob; Philip, born 1775, who married Mary Graham 3-23-1800; Catherine who married Henry Parrot 11-17-1792; Christena who married John Moyers; Elizabeth who married James Hotsweller; Mary who married John Windell 5-11-1795; Abraham who married Sarah Blind 8-21-1811; William; Joseph, and Thomas Jr.

She then married Mathias Painter on 27 Nov 1801, but he died soon after in 1802 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. No children were born to this marriage.

Christiana then married the widower John Peter Mauck on 28 July 1806 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. No children were born to this marriage, either. John died October 1821 and was reportedly buried in Lick Run Cemetery (defunct), east of Mauckport, Harrison, Indiana, "... across Lick Run Bridge and near the new Ohio River Bridge. The cemetery no longer exists."
