OBITUARY-Real Estate Agent Norma J. Woodard BEE STAFF REPORTS

Remembered as a dedicated real estate agent who put the interests of her clients and co-workers first, Norma Jean Woodard died Tuesday at memorial Medical Center. She was 62.

Mrs. Woodard had been a member of the central Valley Association of Realtors since 1977. She was a licensed real estate broker who spent much of her career wtih Re-Max of Modesto.

Broker Ron cone, also with Re-Max of Modesto, had worked with Mrs. Woodard for many years and praised her commitment to the profession.

"She put in the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to be successful, " cone said. "she was a no-nonsense professional, the type of person everyone enjoyed working with."

Joyce Smith, office administrator, said Mrs. Woodard paid close attention to details, ensuring deadlines were met and transactions were handled properly. You never had to worry about her dropping the ball, Smith said.

Mrs. Woodard's daughter and son-in- law, Dineen and Richard Sisson, also work with Re-Max of Modesto. Cone recalled the pride that Mrs. Woodard had in her daughter's work as a real estate agent and the joy she took in working so closely with her over the years.

Cone said Mrs. Woodard was active in the Association of Realtors, including membership on its consumer protection and program committees.

Mrs. Woodard was born Oct. 28, 1936 in Ontario. She had lived in Modesto since 1937. She was a graduate of Downey High School. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her aunt and caregiver, Martha Speck of Oroville; children, Dineen Sisson of Oakdale, and Chris Woodard and Don Woodard, both of Modesto; and five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm today at the chapel.
