Memorial services for Mr. Stephen Douglas Alexander, age 64, of Georgetown, Ga. were held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Kent Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula. Rev. Jimmy Sowell officiated. Mr. Alexander died Friday, July 4, 2014 at Medical Center Enterprise.
Born November 20, 1949 in Elberton, GA. Mr. Alexander was the son of the late George Alton and Verlie Mae Garrett Alexander. He had lived in the Georgetown - Eufaula area since 1982 coming from Winter Haven, Fl. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed his work, building new homes or remodeling older ones. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. And he loved his children and grandchildren dearly.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Bryan and Liz Alexander, Eufaula; a daughter and son in law, Lori and David Moore, Enterprise; two brothers, Michael (Mary) Alexander, Summerville, SC, and David Alexander, Winter Haven, Fl.; two sisters, Deborah (Lane) Gay, and Jeanie Kilmartin, all of Winter Haven, FL.; 5 grandchildren, Courtney (Kris) Rhodes, Hunter (Hannah) Moore, Macy Moore, Logan Moore and Bradley Moore; 5 great grandchildren, Gabriel Rhodes, Kenley Rhodes, Bentley Moore, Trent Jensen and Mason Connor Moore.
