YORK Evelyn V. Hess, 88, entered into rest at 2:10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Rest Haven-York. Born October 20, 1926 in Dover Township, she was a daughter of the late Arnold D. and Estella M. (Witmer) Dunavin. Evelyn was a member of Dover Bethany United Methodist Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards and board games. Evelyn also loved flower bed gardening. Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Bonnie K. Hess of York; a son, Donald J. Hess and wife, Susan of Ohio; and a grandson, Donald R. Hess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, C. Allen and Arnold M. "Mark" Dunavin. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Evelyn's funeral at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. The viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J.
