Helen L. "Mamaa" Bumpus, 88, departed this life on May 4, 2006 from a short-term illness. She was born in Paducah, KY on March 3, 1918. Helen served in the U.S. Army (WAC) and was honorably discharged. She was employed and retired from the State Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, reading , and working puzzle books. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and later joined The Victory Life Chapel and was a member until her passing. She leaves to mourn five children, Ronny (Ann) Bumpus, H. Lynne (John) Hudspeth, Tracy (Keith) Morgan, Leighann (Marcus) Sanders, brother, Russell Gregory, 14 grandchildred and 31 great grandchildren. She is preceded in by her son Johnny O.Bumpus.
