Annie Laurie Lafon Webb of Pearisburg and formerly of Peterstown, WV went home to be with her Heavenly family on Monday morning, February 16, 2015 following a brief illness and injury and while recuperating at a Winston-Salem rehabilitation facility. She was born August 7, 1923 in Waiteville, West Virginia and graduated from Pembroke High School in 1941.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clyde Branch and Mary Sanders Lafon; her husband of sixty years, James Franklin Webb; and a sister Thelma Lafon Gearhart.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Webb Painter and husband Conley of Pearisburg and James F. and wife Brenda Robertson Webb, of Rural Hall, NC, and three grandchildren, Christopher James Webb and fiancee Anne Raff of Charlotte, NC, Katie Webb Denton and husband Lee of Winston-Salem, NC and Angela Caryn Painter of Pearisburg and one niece, Jan Lynn Gearhart of Florida.

Mrs. Webb worked as an LPN for many years and graduated from Concord College (University) with a degree in education. She taught special education and work studies at Giles High School for fifteen years before her retirement.

She was a servant at heart and always looked for ways to be helpful to others.

Funeral services will be held at Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, Virginia, Thursday, February 19, at 2:00 PM with visitation for an hour and 1/2 prior to the service.
