Robert Lee Poore, resident of San Antonio, passed away February 13, 2015 at age 86.

He married Dolores Costello on December 10, 1949 and celebrated 65 years of marriage in December, 2014.

Robert was a six year veteran of the US Army, serving proudly in the Korean War.
Robert retired after a 30 year career with the US Postal Service.

Robert enjoyed a life-long passion for hunting and fishing. After retirement, he discovered a new pastime, bowling with the Club 55er's.

He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church serving as an usher and a member of the Arboreans.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; son, Robert Poore Jr. and wife, Alice; daughter, Sherry Poore; two granddaughters, Dr. Amy Witte and husband, Scott; Kristin Tatsch and husband, Chris; along with three great-grandchildren, Kendall and Kase Witte, Liam Tatsch; a brother, Ulus Poore; three sisters: Auster Lockhart, Lois Neyman and Mary Lou Pounds, many nieces and nephews.

The Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 27th at 9:45 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3909 Harry Wurzbach, with the Mass at 10:00 AM; interment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
