Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Edith Hooks Willis, age 80, of Twin City, GA on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, GA.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Twin City United Methodist Church with Rev. Randall Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in the Eastbrook Mausoleum

The family will receive friends at the Twin City United Methodist Church from 12:00 Noon until time of service.

Pallbearers are Donnie Alexander, Jeff Glover, Wade Williams, Stewart Hooks, Wesley Hendley and Josh Hendley.

Mrs. Willis was born in Millen, Jenkins County, GA, graduated from Jenkins County High School, retired from Jockey, was a member of the Twin City United Methodist Church, a past Sunday School teacher and a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and shared it with family and at church functions. Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Willis, son, John Keith Willis and brother Jerry Hooks.

Survivors include:

One Daughter: Donna "Kaye" White (Jack) of Twin City, GA 30471

One Daughter-In- Law: Cindy Willis of Twin City, GA

One Sister: Yvonne Chester of Prattville, AL

Four Brothers: W. A. Hooks (Margaret) of Garfield, GA, Ronald Hooks (Thelma) of Millen, GA, Samuel Hooks and Tommy Hooks (Jean) all of Twin City, GA

Four Grandchildren: Brittany Hendrix (Blake), Brett Willis, Chrisie Hall and Kyla McClure (John)

Five Great-Grandchildren: Taylor Peebles, Emily Peebles, Emme Grace Hendrix, Ellie Kate Hendrix and Willow McClure.
