He was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church and retired from Union Carbide.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Elliott Hayden; 3 daughters; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Laura Thompson Hayden; 7 brothers; and 1 sister.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Charles Catholic Church with Father Masi Suvakkin officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery.
