Francis Henry Smeltzer, husband of Mrs. Rebecca Boyd Smeltzer, died at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, 351 Norway street. He was 52 years old.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two foster sons, Carrol Sprenkle, at home, and Bernard Kennedy, member of the U. S. Armed forces; four sisters, Mrs. Roy Heaps, Felton R, D. 2; Mrs. Frank Runkle and Mrs. Raymond Sheckenbaugh, Brogueville; and Mrs. Isaac Kline, Red Lion R. D.; four brothers, John, Brogueville; Howard and Milton, High Rock and Nelson, York and his step-mother; Mrs. Emma Smeltzer, High Rock.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, leaving the residence, 351 Norway street, at 1 o'clock and proceeding to Bethel M. E. church, near Shenk's Ferry,of which the deceased was a lifelong member, for services at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Martin Heiland, Newburg, Pa., will officiate, assisted by Rev. F. L. Pannebacker, pastor of the Bethel charge. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining Bethel M. E. church.
