Margaret H. Jones was born June 20, 1934, in rural Flanagan, the daughter of Wessel B. and Katherine A. Hinrichs Eden. She married James R. Jones on September 1, 1953 in Pontiac. He survives. Margaret was baptized at St. Petri Lutheran Church, Flanagan, and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pontiac on April 10, 1949.
Other survivors include her daughter, Linda Marie Jones, East Peoria; her son, David Alan Jones, Honolulu, Hawaii; one sister , Doris Frobish, Flanagan; one brother, Wilbur Eden, Streator; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jones attended schools in the Long Point area, Odell Community High School, Merrimac Community College and Illinois Central College. She was a member of First Lutheran Church; the Miriam Circle of the church; Livingston County Home Extension Service; and the Livingston County Multiple Sclerosis Support Group. She had been employed at Fashion Bilt Shoe Co., Livingston Country Farm Bureau Soil Lab, and Livingston County Home Extension Service.
Margaret passed away at OSF Saint James Hospital at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Flanagan.
