Johnny McDonald

Died: February 15, 2015

Funeral services for Johnny McDonald, 85, of Wisner will be 2 pm Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Wisner with Rev. Thomas Peoples and Rev. Mary Nan McMullen officiating. Interment will follow in Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11 am - 2pm Wednesday at the church.

Mr. McDonald was born May 13, 1929 in Wisner to the union of Culbert Lee, Sr. and Valerie Ora Sturdivant McDonald and passed from this life on February 15, 2015, in Wisner.

Mr. McDonald was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, Wisner. He was formerly employed by Kiper's, Western Auto and Haring Pride Catfish. He was a handyman that worked on appliances and small engines and was known to be able to fix almost anything.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Frances McDonald; son Randy McDonald and brother C. L. McDonald, Jr.

Survivors include grandson Trent Williams and wife Sarrah of Wisner; great niece Mary Nan McMullen of Haynesville; his church family and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Carroll, Trey Kiper, Jon Peoples, Tyler Roberts, and Jesse Young.

Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church, Wisner.
