Evelyn Vera Hendricks, 82, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.


A native of the upstate, Evelyn graduated from Pickens High School in May of 1952. She continued her education at Draughon’s Business School and was then later employed by John D. Hollingsworth from September of 1960, wherein she retired in October of 1985.


She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Taylors for twenty-five years.


She was predeceased by her parents, Bunk Hendricks and Sunie Masters Hendricks, along with her brother, Glenn Hendricks and sisters Almedia Simpkins, Thelma Yeager, Jeanette Reece, Audrey Stokes, Bobby Griffin and Geneva Clark. She is survived by a loving sister, Jeannie Easterly, of Pickens, SC.


Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00, Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Tonya Vickery and Rev. Stewart Hendricks officiating. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, SC following the services.


The family will reside at their respective homes.
