Herbert R. Battley was born in Aurelius, Ingham county, Michigan, July 4th, 1881, and died at the home of his parents near Postle, Oklahoma, January 15, 1909.
He leaves to mourn his loss, a father, mother, three sisters and two brothers. His own mother preceded him eight years.
The deceased was a member of the First Baptist church of Aurelius, Michigan, from childhood and a member of the M. W. A.
His health had been poor for a number of years, yet he bore his sufferings without a murmer and appreciated all that was done for him and was so patient.
The funeral was held from the Union Church of Postle, Sunday morning, Rev. Chas. Thomas officiating and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery at Camp.
