Dawn Michelle Starr, 44, of Brazil, was spared her battle with cancer on February 9, 2015.

She was born to Wilfred and Phyllis (Swaim) Henseler on May 30, 1970.

She married William Starr Jr. on December 5, 1994.

Dawn was a graduate of Rockville High School class of 1988. Dawn started her travel career at Trans World Airlines (TWA). She then worked for International Tours in Terre Haute before working as a Corporate Travel Agent for Groupe Ideal.

Dawn was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Kenneth and Reba Swaim; her mother Phyllis Henseler and a niece Shelby McCarter.

Dawn is survived by her husband William "Bill" Starr Jr.; father Wilfred Henseler; daughter Samantha; step-daughter Jessica; step-granddaughter Kylie; sister Deanne, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her life-long friend Denise Cuffle.

Visitation for Dawn will be at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Ave. Brazil, Indiana, 47834, Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 4-7pm. Services will be at the funeral home, Thursday, at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samantha Starr College Fund c/o First Financial Bank 18 North Walnut Street Brazil, Indiana 47834.
