Margaret Mary Failing passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Fox Chase Cancer Center with her family at her bedside.Margaret was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Lawrence Burke and Amelia Burke. She was an only child.

Margaret graduated from Victory High School in Clarksburg, West Virginia and then graduated from Goldie Beacon College. She attended East Carolina University and then moved to New Castle, Delaware. She later received her B.A. and her MA from Wilmington University.Margaret was employed at Rapid Transit Corporation for a number of years and later became the Human Resource Director for Delaware Area Rapid Transit Corporation, working in Dover and Wilmington, Delaware. She retired in February 2013.

Margaret is survived by her husband Boyce Failing and their children Victoria Pfeifer, her husband Bill, Eric Failing, his wife Brenda, Brandon Failing, his wife Wanda and their grandchildren, Alex Failing, Emily Pfeifer, Meagan Pfeifer, Ryan Failing and Brody Failing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover, Delaware. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Out of respect for the season of Lent, in lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105, an institution Margaret always supported.
