Damascus resident Darlene Angela Greene died Monday, Aug. 5. She was 88.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at St. Henry Catholic Church.
Darlene was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Anamosa, Iowa, to William and Mary (Kehoe) McNamara. She was raised and educated in Iowa, graduating from high school in 1943.
Right after high school, Darlene taught school for six months. On March 11, 1946, Darlene married Robert Greene in San Diego. They moved to East County in 1965.
Darlene was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the Gresham Elks Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Vangie Greene.
Darlene is survived by her daughters, Adonica Greene and Consuella McGrath; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Gresham Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
