Timothy (Tim) Weber, 64, of Littleton, CO died March 6, 2013 at his home, in the loving care of his family after a long battle with cancer. Tim was the son of Frederick and Delores (Wittmayer) Weber and was born December 9, 1948 in Eureka, SD. Tim attended school in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School in 1967. He graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1971. Tim married Karen (Wolff) Weber on July 11, 1971. After they married, Tim began law school, but was drafted by the Army and moved to Fort Leonard Wood, MO. There he served as a legal clerk from 1972 to 1974 where he received the Army Commendation Medal. He then returned to law school at the University of South Dakota, graduating in 1976. In 1976, they moved back to Eureka where Tim established a private law practice and in November 1976 was elected State’s Attorney of McPherson County. In 1982 he associated with Donald Kallenberger and established the law firm of Weber and Kallenberger, P.C. Throughout his time in Eureka, Tim was involved in many organizations including American Legion Commander, Masons, President of Chamber of Commerce, volunteer fire fighter, Lions and Eureka Sportsmen’s Club. In 1987, the family moved to Pierre, SD where Tim worked for the State of South Dakota as Chief Legal Counsel for the Department of Revenue and later as an Administrative Law Judge. In 1997, the family relocated to Overland Park, KS where Tim took a position with Deloitte and Touche as a tax consultant. In 2001 Tim, Karen and Allison moved back to South Dakota, this time settling in Sioux Falls where Tim was the tax manager for LodgeNet. In 2007, an opportunity presented itself in Colorado where Tim was offered the position as Deputy Director of the Department of Revenue. He held that position from 2007 to 2012 and then became Chief Hearings Officer. Moving to Colorado gave Tim the opportunity to be closer to family and enjoy many of his outdoor hobbies including fly-fishing, hunting, archery and baseball. He loved music and learning to speak German. Tim greatly cherished his many friendships that he had made over his lifetime. Tim was preceded in death by his father (Frederick Weber) and maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his beloved children, Rachel (Scott) Bishop, Vanessa Weber, Allison Weber; two grandchildren, Sienna Smith (5) and Lydia Bishop (2); his mother Delores Andrus; his four sisters, Mikki (Dennis) Dammel, Pam Hopkins, Cindy Theobold and Beth Miller; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials will be donated to the pancreatic cancer research foundation.
