JUANITA KEENE COLEMAN, 81 years of age of Big Rock, VA, passed away February 5, 2015, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Grundy, VA, following an extended illness. Born June 6, 1933 at Mt. Heron, VA, she was the daughter of the late Earl R. and Hattie Addison Keene. She was a resident of Buchanan County for most of her life and was a member of the Buchanan First Presbyterian Church. Prior to her retirement, she worked many years as a sales clerk at The Family Shop and the Corner. She was a loving mother, sister, Granny, and “Aunt Nita” and will be missed deeply by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Ivan Coleman, January 2, 2015; and her son, Steven Coleman.

Those left to cherish her memory include, Grandson, Mark (Hope) Coleman, Big Rock, VA; Granddaughter: Kelly (Evan) Gilliam, Home Creek; Great-Grandson: Brady Deel, Big Rock, VA; Great-Granddaughter: Riley Deel, Big Rock, VA; 2-Sisters: Kate (Frank) Silva, Suffolk, VA, Sandra Dailey, Doran, VA; 1-Brother: H.M. (Rhonda) Keene, Yorktown, VA; 2-Aunts: Lorraine Williams, Brookneal, VA, Ruth Mullins, Roanoke, VA; a host of Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services for JUANITA KEENE COLEMAN will be conducted Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Buchanan First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brad Napier officiating with entombment to follow at the Mountain Rest Mausoleum at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Buchanan First Presbyterian Church Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with song services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be nephews.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Ladies of Buchanan First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1339, Grundy, VA.
