Lila Joyce Christensen West went to be with her savior on February 7, 2015. She was born in a small farmhouse in Wolbach, Nebr., on November 30, 1937.
Her family moved to Los Angeles when she was a young girl and she graduated from John C. Fremont High School in 1955. Lila worked as a secretary after high school. On January 31, 1959 she married Randall George West. They moved to Auburn, Calif., in 1963 with their growing family where they built their family home and raised their four children. They attended First Baptist Church of Auburn for many years.
Lila is preceded in death by her loving husband Randall, father Chris Christensen and her mother Clara Christensen. She is survived by her children Tim (Lorri) West of Auburn, Kathy (Sean) O'Neil of Rocklin, Linda Blake-West of Auburn and Greg West of Auburn; Grandchildren Jessi Blake, Will Blake, Brandin West, Tylar West, Tara O'Neil and Casey O'Neil; Sister Lola Williams (Cecil) of Salem, Ore.; Brother Arnold (Pat) Christensen of Fullerton, Calif.; and many more dear relatives and friends.
Lila's family and friends will miss her deeply and always remember her for her kind and loving heart. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Redemption Church of Auburn, 490 Nevada Street, Auburn, CA. 95603. .
