Catherine Werner Hicks, age 101, of LaGrange, passed away on June 17, 2020 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. She was born on September 15, 1918 to the late William Joseph Werner and Georgia Garvin Werner in Central, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Arthur Hicks; her son, Claude Hicks; and four brothers and one sister. Survivors include her sons, Frank Hicks (Julie), and Joe Hicks (Yoko); daughter, Sue Edmondson (Harold); grandchildren, Fred Hicks (Jessica), Jacob Hicks (Victoria), Elena Fernandes, Aaron Hicks, Sue Calhoun, and Jason Calhoun; great grandchildren, Lem Hicks, Jabe Hicks, Hank Hicks, Joseph Calhoun; and John Calhoun; her loving neighbors; extended family and friends. Graveside services was held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 4:00 PM at the Shadowlawn Cemetery. Family will gather at the graveside before the service. In lieu of the flowers, donations may be made in Catherine Hicks to LaGrange College.
