Harold Arland "Mike" Davies 1 Feb 1921 was born to William and Melva Davies, and raised in Tacoma Washington.

Mike served during WWII in the South Pacific on an island in the Philippines. After the war, he worked as a tool and die machinist for various companies in the Tacoma area. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers Cascade Lodge #297.

He became involved with the American Legion Post 138 in Tacoma. From the beginning he diligently worked to improve the benefits for both active duty and retired military men and women. This period of time gave Mike great satisfaction to take care of brave military members in our community. He became Commander of the American Legion Post 138, District Commander, and served on the Mayor's Task Force for Veterans Affairs. He was involved in these community service projects for most of his life.

Mike married Annell Violet Hewitt Porter and were the parents to three daughters.

Mike passed away 12 Feb 2015 at the age of 94 years and is interred at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, Washington.
