George A. Blevins
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, LaGrone Funeral Chapel for George A. Blevins, 73, of Roswell, who passed away Sept. 11, 2003, at his residence. The Rev. Tracy Spencer-Brown of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate.

George was born Sept. 2, 1930 in Levelland, Texas to James and Bertha Gadberry Blevins. They preceded him in death.

On April 25, 1986 George and Gail Jensen were married in Roswell. She survives him at the family home.

He is also survived by four sons: Alan Blevins of Washington, D.C., Roy Federick and wife, Laura, of Japan, Robert Federick and his wife, LouAnn, of Roswell, and Doug Shaw and his wife, Bicki; two daughters, Amy Blakeney and her husband, Glen, of Roswell, Sherry Smith and her husband, Cleveland, of Plano. Texas; a special daughter, Patricia Jaramillo of Dexter; one brother, Kenneth Blevins and his wife, Alice, of Portales; eight grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

George had lived in Roswell since 1953, where he owned and operated an accounting firm and the Storage Nest. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

George loved fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, and his grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
