Captain Azariah WRIGHT came to Westminster,Vermont from Northfield, Massachusetts, about 1762, and located on the place where Mr. NEWCOMB lived. He was a captain in the Revolutionary war, and fought bravely for the rights and privileges which his descendants now enjoy. His son Joseph came with him and lived in the town till his death in 1805. He left four children, of whom only one, Joseph H., is now living.
