Glenn was the only son of Charles A King and Myrtle Huie King. He married Betty Mae Camp in Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1951. His children are Kim King Stout and Glenda King Beals.
Glenn served 25 years as Commissioner on the Grundy County Election Commission. He was an active member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans SCV Camp 72. Glenn and his wife, Betty, traveled to many B29 reunions and he was directly involved procuring a 29th Bomb Group plaque at the Wright-Patterson museum. He and Betty were married sixty years and she died at his side. He passed exactly nine months later from a massive stroke, and a broken heart from missing Betty.
