Nicholas R. Klug, who is prosperously engaged in farming and stock raising in Caledonia township, was born in Houston county, on farm five miles west of Caledonia village, son of Richard and Mary (Klos) Klug. His parents later moved to farm three and half miles west of the village, and on these two farms he was reared. He has been engaged chiefly in agriculture in its various branches of crop raising, dairying and stock raising. In 1904 he came to his present farm, which he has increased to 120 acres. He was one of the founders of the local creamery. He is a member of the Catholic church, and he served on the building committee of the school.
