Evelyn Barker Odell Fisher, 99, formerly of Mount Holly, was a daughter of the late Herbert Eugene and Lettie Mae Sims Barker. She was preceded in death by husbands, Guy Odell and William Fisher; brother, Vernon Barker.
Interment in Goshen Cemetery, North Belmont.
Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly, NC is serving the family.

Evelyn's mother died in 1922 of influenza. This left Evelyn age 7, her brother Otis 5, and her sister Margaret 3. Her father worked in textiles and gave them to others to raise so he could work. Evelyn went to her mother's sister, Carrie Mayhew, Otis to Charles and Laura Alley and Margaret to Ollie Sanders.
When Aunt Carrie Mayhew died, Evelyn asked to live with her father and his 2nd wife, Bertie Pettis.  She said that Bertie treated her kindly.
Evelyn was  preceded in death by her parents, her step mother, brother, Otis Alley, step brothers, Herbert, Jr, Melvin Glenn, and James Vernon Barker.
