Fred C. Savage, 59, of W. Wareham, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a brief illness. He was the husband of Paulette A. (Frisoli) Savage.

Born in Natrona Heights, PA, he was the son of the late Frederick C. & Jane (Krukowski) Savage. A previous resident of New Jersey and Connecticut, Mr. Savage moved to Wareham in 2005.

A graduate of Penn. State, Mr. Savage was a retail manager for K-Mart for 36 years retiring in 2005. After his retirement, he returned to work as district manager for Dollar Tree, Inc.

A British car enthusiast, Mr. Savage enjoyed driving his 1958 Triumph TR3. He also was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and also enjoyed Penn. State football, traveling and cooking.

He is survived by his wife Paulette; his brother, Gregory D. Savage and his wife Sylvia of New Hartford, NY; several nieces and nephews and his cherished poodles, “Pepper Rose” and “Bear”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Savage, who died February 11, 2011.

His memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday., August 6, 2011 in the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway Fountain Hill, PA 18015, where the family will receive friends from 12-1pm. Inurnment will be at the Holy Saviour Cemetery Mausoleum.
