Margie Lee Taylor

1925 ~ 2015

Woolmarket

Margie Lee Taylor, age 89, of Woolmarket, entered Heaven's Pearly Gates on February 12, 2015.

Margie was born and raised in Rosboro, AR, and upon marriage to George J. Taylor, she moved to Woolmarket. Their marriage of 69 years was filled with happiness and God blessed them with their only child, Wayne. Some of Margie's fondest memories were days spent vacationing with George in their RV. She worked as a telephone operator and school bus driver.

She was a member of Coalville United Methoodist Church, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, and the Joppa Shrine Ladies group. She loved to travel, shop, cook, and visit with her family and friends. In her golden years, she enjoyed making ceramics, crocheting, and jewelry making.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Addie Haygood, a sister, Betty Haygood, and a great-grandson, Landon Rodriguez. She is survived by her husband, George J. Taylor, her son, Wayne (Patricia) Taylor, 3 grandchildren, Troy (Kristi) Taylor, Brian (Jalena) Taylor, and Ashley Taylor, and 4 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Peyton, Laney, and Ty. A special lady that she loved as her own daughter, Sandra (Billy) Orr, and a host of extended family and friends.

Margie's life will always be remembered as one in which she preferred to stay "on the go." She truly enjoyed life. Her family and friends will forever treasure the many gifts and memories she so generously bestowed upon them. Margie was a lively lady that was loved by many.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm at Coalville United Methodist Church, Woolmarket. The funeral service will be at 2:30 pm in the church. Interment will be in Coalville Cemetery.
