Fran was born on Jan. 28, 1949 in Pontiac, Illinois, a daughter of John and Hilda Rippy White. She married Harlan H. Dean on Feb. 15, 1980 in Pontiac. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Lizzie) Cuttill and Richard Dean; two grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Cohen and Eileen Hughes and one brother, Art Wilm.
Fran was preceded in death by three brothers.
Fran was educated in Pontiac schools and was employed at Pontiac Correctional Center for 25 years, retiring in 2002 as a correctional sergeant. Fran was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pontiac, where she was a volunteer at the church food pantry. She was also named volunteer of the year at OSF Hospice.
