Jane Ellen Hawkins, 65, of Longview passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015.
Janie was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 24, 1949. She was a proud alumna of Wheelersburg High School and loved all things Ohio State. She was proudly employed by SWEPCO for 27 years before her retirement in January.
Janie had a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.
Janie is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Robert Bruce Hawkins; son, Michael Pyles (Rena); and daughter, Megan Lawson (Jeremy), all of Longview; brother, Rick Delph (Vicki); sister, Nancy Bush, all of Ohio; granddaughters Keeli Pyles and Kristen Dispenza; grandsons Kaden Pyles, Chandler Lawson, and Cameron Lawson; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Baxter Delph, and grandson, Christian Pyles.
Interment in the mausoleum at Rosewood Park.
Pallbearers will be her friends and coworkers from SWEPCO. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kaden Pyles, Chandler Lawson, and Cameron Lawson, and her brother-in-law, Duane Hawkins.
