Mrs. G.W. Taylor, 78, died Sunday night Nov. 18, 1951 at her home in Augusta where she had lived for the past 50 years. She was a native of Randolph county, and a member of the Church of God.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Milton T. Hopkins, Augusta; Mrs. I.L. Provance, Des Arc; Mrs. Acie Robbins, Banner; Mrs. L.V. Pankey, Jamestown, Ind; Mrs. Clarence Abney, Stuttgart; two sons, Fred, Ciscoe and Charley, Augusta; a sister, Mrs. John Dodd, Doniphan, MO; two brothers, Johnny Poyner and T.O. Poyner, Success; 41 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 in the Church of God in August, by the Rev. Willard Henderson and burial was in Augusta Memorial Park with Herbert Holmes Funeral Home in charge.
Grandsons of the deceased served as pallbearers.
