Clarence W.H. Franklin Sr., 83, of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015.

He was a member of Cave Creek Baptist Church. Clarence served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Farragut Ditching.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary O. Franklin; parents, John and Charity Franklin; sisters, Clara Mae Deaton and Joyce Smith; and brother, Junior Franklin.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Linda Franklin; children, Clarence W. Franklin Jr. and wife, Lisa, Ann Reeves and husband, Michael, Richard Franklin and wife, Donna, Tammy Johnson and husband, Anthony, Angel Smith and husband, Stephen, Gwynna Franklin and Tonya, Lisa Lantz and husband, Danny, and Kathy May and husband, Jeremy; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jesse Franklin, Harvey Franklin, Harold Franklin, Joe Franklin and James Franklin; sister, Ruth Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m., with the Revs. Paul White and Rick Kirkland officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. Monday and proceed to Loudon County Memorial Gardens for 2 p.m. graveside services. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.
