Jackie “Charles” Cook, 79, of Jacksonville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at North Little Rock Baptist Health Center.

Charles was born on November 29, 1936 in Caraway to the late George and Lena McCoy Cook.

After high school he went on to join the US Army. While in the Army he served in the Korean War while earning rank of sergeant.

After the military he started working as a Paint Contractor, and later became owner operator of his
own business.

In addition to his parents he was preceded by one daughter, Debra Glaze (Find A Grave Memorial# 103934219); brother, George Cook; one sister, Wilma Barber (Find A Grave Memorial# 13038890).

He is survived by his sons, (removed) of Jacksonville, (removed) of Little Rock, and (removed) of Vilonia; brother, (removed) of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 2pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Strawfloor Cemetery. Services are entrusted by Emerson Funeral Home.
