Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Ovett Cemetery for Mrs. Minnie Merle Thompson, 96, of Canton, who died February 11, 2015 at St. Dominique Hospital. Rev. Steve Kelly and Dr. John Bower will officiate with burial in the Ovett Cemetery

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Richton.

Her husband, Aubrey Thompson and son, Neil Thompson preceded her in death.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by two daughters, Dixie Kennedy of Wesson and Edna Thompson Curry of Brandon; two sons, Terry Thompson of Ovett and Jerry Thompson of Laurel; son-in-law, Dr. John Bower of Brandon; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
