Ivan A. Hoffman was born on February 16, 1923 on a farm near Haddam, Kansas. He was the 3rd child of ten born to John H. Hoffman, Jr. and Grace Emma Turner Hoffman. He is survived by 7 children and 2 brothers. He started as a farmer; he then served 2 years in the Army and is a Veteran of the Second World War.In 1947, he married Audrey N. Bonawitz. After moving to Idaho, he became a respected heavy equipment mechanic. In 1965, he married Esther Nash Mitchell. He moved to Nampa, Idaho in the summer of 1967 and resided there for 47 years. His favorite pastimes were hunting, gathering firewood, collecting odds and ends of mechanical machines he thought someone would be willing to trade for. He will be missed by all his family members.A funeral service will be held for Ivan on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10:30 am at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. So., Nampa.
