Paul Bernard Dreiling, 64, 2413 Prairie Road, died late Wednesday at a Topeka hospital. He was born June 29, 1918 in Ellis County, the son of Michael and Agnes Kuhn Dreiling.
He moved from Park to Topeka in 1954. Mr. Dreiling owned and operated Mr. Paul's Beauty Salon, 928 Kansas Ave., since 1955. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 4254 and Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion, all in Topeka.
He was married to Betty Zerr June 1, 1948 at Park. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Gigous, Topeka, and Mrs. Anita Dougherty, Overland Park; eight sisters, Mrs. Margaret Dinkle and Sophie Dreiling, both of Victoria, Mrs. Marie Bradley, Dodge City, Mrs. Ada Zerr, Great Bend, Mrs. Armella Grote, Canon City, Colo., Mrs. Alberta Lintel, Hays, Sister Virginita Dreiling, Sisters of St. Joseph, Concordia, and Flitz Dreiling, Junction City; two brothers, the Rev. Killian Dreiling, Carthagena, Ohio, and Francis Dreiling, Wichita; and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Dreiling will lie in state after 9 a.m. today at Brennan Funeral Home where a parish wake service will be held at 7 p.m. and Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.
