Lena M. Silver-Scott was the second of eight children born to the proud parents, William and Irene Williams in Warrenton, North Carolina. She graduated from John Hawkins High School in Warrenton.

Lena met and married the late Edward Silver in Warrenton and they later relocated to New York City. Three children were born from this union. Sandra Silver, Edward Silver and Sheldon Silver. Tragically this union ended in 1968. Lena would once again find happiness after meeting and marrying the late Emory Scott.

After working many jobs, Lena was fortunate to find employment with The Bank of New York. Here she worked as an Archivist until retiring in 1988.

Lena Faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the North Carolina Club. Lena touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra Silver and son, Sheldon Silver. Two sisters, Mary Alston and Carrie Davis. One brother, Louis Williams. Six grandchildren, Carl Henriques, Uraina Vitatoe, Jasmine Silver, Sheldon Brown, Ceaser Baez and Jason Silver. Beloved great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and a host of longtime friends.
