Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.
Mrs. McGee passed away on Feb. 5, 2015, at Mother Frances Hospital. She was born on Jan. 8, l954, in Bullard. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and was a lifelong resident of Smith County. Mrs. McGee was employed by Trane and was a member of Greater Shiloh Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess and in many auxiliaries in the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shannon Earl Brooks Jr.; two sisters; and one brother.
Those left to cherish her most precious memories are her husband, Gary Don McGee; sons, Sedric McGee, Corey McGee, all of Tyler; brothers, Gary Brown, Louisiana, Roy Lee Brown, Gerald Brown, all of Tyler; sisters, Lola Roy, Carolyn Collins, both of Tyler; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A wake will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. .
