Mary Helen Conner Williams, 75, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Fort Stockton, died Saturday February 19, 2011.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 5, 2011 at the Garland Senior Center in Garland, Texas. Ms. Williams died quietly in her sleep at her home in Garland, Texas on February 19th after a long illness.

Ms. Williams was born Mary Helen Conner on August 13, 1935 in Philadelphia, Mississippi. She graduated from Ocean Springs High School in Ocean Springs, Mississippi on June 3, 1953. She also graduated a bookkeeping course from Biloxi High School in Biloxi, Mississippi on May 21, 1958.

She was preceded in death by her parents James DeKalb Conner and Ola Bell Lang Conner of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, her brother, Herman Howard Conner of Smithdale, Mississippi, and a sister, Doris Leola Cox of Kilgore, Texas.

She is survived by two sisters, Walta Mae
Morgan and husband Wesley of Monahans, Texas, Jane Elizabeth Leonard of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, a sister-in-law, Mary Etta Conner of Smithdale, Mississippi, her daughter, Michelle Denise Williams of Garland, Texas, her son, David Michael Williams and wife Dina of Monahans, Texas, 3 granddaughters, Myranda Lynn Williams of Garland, Texas, April Storm Williams and Kailey Maria Williams both of Monahans, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to the love that she had for her family and the times that she spent with them in various activities, Ms. Williams loved to travel, the beach, reading and both going to and participating in craft shows. She was an avid seamstress as well.

Services will be officiated over by Paul Snave.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the West Texas Boys Ranch.
