Mrs. Newton was born December 8, 1964 in Louisville and graduated from University of Louisville with a bachelor's degree. She worked in Adult Protective Services for the State of Kentucky as a social worker. Mrs. Newton was a member of Thixton Lane Baptist Church and attended Okolona Christian Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 19 years, Brett Newton; son, Collin Newton; step children, Brittany and Caleb Newton; adopted daughter, Zihui Jian; grandson, Lucas Eicher; father, Bill Chelf; sister, Crystal Sarvak (Tim); mother in law, Joyce Newton and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 1:00 pm on Saturday at Schoppenhorst.
