Mrs. Annie B. Larsen Hansen, 87, widow of Ole Hansen, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Draper, of causes incident to age.

Mrs. Hansen, whose husband was one of the original settlers of Mt. Pleasant in 1859, had been a local resident since 1872,. She was born in Valoy, Denmark, 1834. She remebered well the war between Denmark and Germany in 1862 when Denmark lost Sehleawig-Holalein, and often recalled the bombardment of her native town Junlug(sp).

In 1864 her parents, James and Lena Larsen, and their three children came to America. The family lived successively in Canada, Wisconsin and in Iowa, and came to Utah in April, 1872.

She was married to Mr. Hansen, a prominent business man in Salt Lake City, October 7, 1872. For many years they owned an operated the Overland Hotel. Mr. Hansen died in March 1938.

Durviving are two daughters and one son, Mrs. Flossie H. Petersen of Hyrum; Ernest Hansen of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Draper of Mt. Pleasant; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
